Biography of Kenneth B. Bush
Major, Deputy Chief of Staff, CCC, 6th Corps Area, US Army
From Sparta Civilian Conservation Corps District, Sixth Corps Area, 1937 Annual
Originally commissioned a Provisional Second Lieutenant, Infantry, August 8, 1917, as an honor graduate in Military from the University of Illinois.
Promoted to the grade of First Lieutenant August 8, 1917; temporary Captain of Infantry, June 13, 1918; permanent Captain of Infantry, July 1, 1920; transferred to the Adjutant-General’s Department June 3, 1923; promoted to the grade of Major, A.G.D., August 8, 1935.
Served overseas with the Fourth Infantry, Third Division, participating in the following major engagements: Aisne, Champagne-Marne, Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne, and Defense Sector.
Stationed at Fort Stotsenburg, Philippine Islands, 1925-1928.
